Joe bought us an one-hundred dollar 1976 tiller, and there he is tilling the garden. It may not be in style, but it sure does get the job done(that goes for the both of 'em;P)! There is a homemade fence up around it now(posts made from the trees Joe and the missionaries cut down, ha!), and we've got most of the stuff planted. I just haven't taken more pictures yet. Mallorie sure did like the giant sand box, though!
This is a great video. I was looking on craigslist in the free section....and someone had posted this. I'm thinking it was God telling me something of what is to come. I went back on craigslist because I wanted to show Joe, but whoever posted it had already pulled it! Anyway, I hope that everyone listening out there will take a second and evaluate your own lives and make sure that you are prepared in all ways for whatever the future holds. Enjoy the video!
So, not too much exciting has been going on, but I figured I would just write for the heck of it! We have all been sick for about a month, so after we all started getting better, I totally disinfected the entire house. What an undertaking! Anyway, hopefully this will keep us from getting it again. Mallorie had gotten so dehydrated that when she got the virus the second time we decided to take her to the hospital. Joe was down the road and I called him to tell him we needed to go ahead and go to the hospital. He calls back about 5 minutes later and says that he has gotten into a wreck! It was the other persons fault, they ran a stop sign(flashing red light) and Joe creamed them in the side. I guess we were somehow destined to go to the hospital that day. Unfortunately it got us all sick again. My point with all of this is you realize how great life is when you feel good, and appreciate feeling good after experiencing sickness. That's about the only good thing about being sick...not being sick anymore! Hope everyone out there is feeling great today and all days to come. Chao!
It's hard to even think about turning down cash, but how does the government come up with all of this to give out?! I just hope we aren't putting ourselves more in debt to China. I mean, don't we have a national debt the size of..well..China? Thanks for the cash Feds, but I'm not sure it's as stimulating as it is just prolonging of the arrival of a recession. We shall see.
We have given a lot of our time this past year to the campaign for Mitt Romney for President(Joe served as the Madison County Co-Chair and I was an intern for the North Florida Field Director, Jess Welter), and in his suspension of his campaign we feel a certain sadness because he, his family, and the entire team have become friends to us. It is not about politics at all. It is about real people fighting for all the values and principles that have always made this nation great. We know Mitt will continue to fight for conservative values in America, as will we. Go Mitt! and thanks for an inspiring year.
